1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OldSchoolTV, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, and that your use of the service is lawful where you access it. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Service Description
OldSchoolTV is a free, synchronized web interface that presents YouTube videos in a retro television-style guide experience. OldSchoolTV does not host, store, or retransmit video files; playback is provided through third-party embeds.
4. User-Managed Channel Features
Certain features may allow you to select, arrange, and play content in your own local browser context. You are solely responsible for content you choose to play and for compliance with applicable law and third-party platform rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OldSchoolTV disclaims liability for user-selected content and related claims.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with operations, attempt to gain unauthorized access, circumvent security controls, scrape protected endpoints, or submit abusive/automated spam. We may investigate and act on suspected misuse.
6. Third-Party Content and Platforms
OldSchoolTV does not own or control YouTube content shown through the service. All such content is subject to YouTube's terms, policies, availability, and restrictions. If you believe content infringes your rights, you must pursue remedies with the relevant platform provider.
7. Intellectual Property
Except for third-party content and marks, the service interface, branding, software, and related materials are protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under these Terms.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, including for security, legal, abuse, or operational reasons.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OldSchoolTV and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid by you (if any) to use the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OldSchoolTV and its operators from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your selected content, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that disputes not subject to mandatory arbitration (if applicable) will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms are effective when posted on this page unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OldSchoolTV regarding the service. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
